I know, this sounds so simple and boring.В В  It"s one thing to run out of food, but making sure you have enough water, especially if you are traveling through the dessert with no air conditioning in your old truck, then this is life saving.В В В В В В В В В В В

I am not much of a television person, so it"s no problem for me to leave our LG Professional at home.В  Now music on the other hand, is something that I can not go without.В  Nothing compares to being on the open road with the windows down, wind blowing through your hair, and maybe a little Crosy, Stills, and Nash playing in the background.В  Your music taste may differ from mine, which is fine, but I have found that having music is very important.В 

В В В В В В В В В В В  3.В  Beef Jerky

I am not sure what it is, but the only time I crave beef jerky is when I am on the road.В  It may not be the healthiest thing to eat, but it sure is a good snack to gnaw on while staring out the window.В В В В В В В В

Nothing goes better with beef jerky than chocolate.В  I know, it sounds like a weird pair, but it"s that whole sweet and salty combo that seems to work just right.В  Plus I have found that chocolate is a good method to use for bribery to switch the music or in order to make a pit stop.В

I"m sure most of you are going, "what is that?"В  Well, it"s only one of the best things known to mankind.В  Kombucha is a fermented tea that is often used for medicinal purposes.В  As much as I enjoy drinking coffee, I have found that this is a great alternative as it is much healthier for you.В  It also gives you that extra kick as well which allows you to drive those extra miles.В 

There you have it; this is my list of must haves, and maybe now it will now be yours as well.В  Hopefully it won"t cause too much conflict with the family as to what they find necessary to have.В  I think one thing"s for certain, leaving behind the Mitsubishi LaserVue in order to fit extra snacks in the car is the best decision one can make.В В
