The Doctor (in training) who saved my Brother
We did a lot of snorkeling as we all had this in common. On the fifth day, my brother cut himself on something while in the water. It was a small cut and he didnð€™t even tell us about it. When we returned to the caravan park, he had already forgotten about the cut. Two days later, I noticed a bad red welt on his lower leg and asked him what happened. Thatð€™s when I found out about the little ð€cutð€™ he had gotten.I thought he should go have it checked out and he didnð€™t agree. The next day he had a very high fever and was delirious. His friends and I took him to the first aid station at the caravan park to see if they could help. The young woman there looked at it and wasnð€™t sure. She said she needed to know where he was when he got the cut. I told him that I thought he got it underwater while snorkeling.
One of the young men staying at the park had seen the commotion and asked what was going on. He said he was a medical student and maybe he could help. After looking at the welt and checking his vitals, he said he had a serious infection and would lose his leg if it werenð€™t treated quickly. She made some calls and said that a recue copter was being sent to take him to the nearest infirmary.
Thankfully, my brother recovered and we were so thankful to the doctor (in training) who saved him.
