As per the new rules of Dubai tourism and Dubai Police, Hotels must follow the following rules in the case of "Lost and found" items in the hotel rooms and premises:Ò1. Hotel must record all the lost items in a log book which will be available for police inspection.
2. After 3 months, all the found items must be handed over to the nearest police station.
3. Police station will keep these items for further 3 months after which they will be auctioned and the income would be given to charity.
All the hotel establishments must inform their guests the above instructions through website or publications.Ò
